One principle of futures study is paramount: there is no “future”— there are alternative futures and you can learn to be effective in influencing which ones will materialize for your organization, for your community, for your family, and for yourself.

Under Articles and Publications you’ll find a broad range of my articles about aspects of the future that may offer insights to thinking about your organization’s future and your own, too. Many of the articles are offered in PDF format which allows them to be viewed and printed directly or downloaded. You'll need Adobe Acrobat Reader which can be quickly downloaded if you don't already have it. Print-outs of non-PDF articles can be ordered from the Articles page and will be mailed to you.

The website also now features readable and downloadable PDFs of each chapter of 2025 which The Future Times says "is still the best overview of anticipated science and technology and its global impacts on rich and poor—a feast of forecasts and ideas.”
